Data You Send Directly
Search boxes on this site send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that supplies sponsored results. We do not store a copy of those searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to respond.
Data Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems record ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use those logs in aggregate to maintain the site and understand which pages are useful. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Data
We use the data described here to operate the site, troubleshoot errors, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell visitor lists. We also do not build individual visitor profiles from site use.
Links to Other Websites
Colton People Search links to government portals, San Bernardino County and California records offices, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each outside site has its own policy. Data you submit to those services is governed by their rules, especially sponsored search results supplied by a third-party company.
Who May Receive Data
Service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How Data Is Protected
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Because we do not run visitor accounts, this site has no visitor password or profile database.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, including rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive information, and avoid discrimination for using those rights. Because we hold very little, most requests are narrow: we can search our contact mailbox and server logs and remove what we find. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Colton, San Bernardino County, California, courts, or other custodians are outside our control; removal or correction requests for those records must go to the custodian office.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
